I've spent my last $200 on school stuff (sending transcripts, applications, AP scors, SAT scores...blahblah) and I was already feeling kind of bummed about losing that but...

I opened my mail yesterday and go a letter going something like this:

" Lol, hey there, struggling college student!

We at your local college have decided it would be really funny if we decided to charge you $800 in unpaid finances! Haha, funny shit, amirite? Ok, you have a month to pay, have fun!

EIGHT-HUNDRED DOLLARS. HOW. HOOOOOOW!? I pay my god damn tuition ever quarter, all of it, and I always pay my credit card bills. If I had a fucking $800 debt i'm sure someone would have notified me about it a looong time ago. Besides, if I hadn't paid how the hell do I stay on the roster and get my grades!?

There's gonna be a beat down in the office today >:[

Contact the appropriate folks. If it hasn't gone to collections there, I'm 100% confident you can work something out. Bring some documentation and simply explain the deal. You didn't know you owed this, and wasn't informed of any such debt.

Before all that though, have that debt explained.
